Cam Enarson, MD, MBA
Cam Enarson, MD, MBA was appointed senior vice president of Carolina Value for UNC Health Care in January 2015. He oversees the medical school's offices of Finance & Business Operations, Human Resources, Facilities and Resource Planning, and Information Systems. Dr. Enarson also holds an appointment as professor in the department of anesthesiology.
Dr. Enarson works integrally with campus level administrators, other UNC School of Medicine administrators, and with UNC Health Care System administrators in support of the coordinated missions of the medical school, university, and health system. He serves as the institutional authority on all aspects of administration and business practices for the School of Medicine.
Dr. Enarson previously served as senior advisor to Dr. Roper, as vice president for Health Sciences and dean of the School of Medicine at Creighton University, and as senior associate dean at Wake Forest University. Additionally, he served as interim dean and led the initial development of the new medical school at Central Michigan University.
Dr. Enarson earned his BA from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN, and his MD from the University of Alberta School of Medicine in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. He completed a residency in anesthesiology at the University of Maryland and a fellowship in cardiothoracic anesthesia and intensive care at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center of Pennsylvania State University. Dr. Enarson completed an MBA at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
