National Walking Challenge (UNC Wellness Center at Meadowmont, from April 20, 2008 08:00 PM to April 27, 2008 08:00 AM)
Walkers of all ages are welcome to join the UNC Wellness Center at Meadowmont in walking 70,000 steps in 7 days, April 21-27. Registration is $10 per person. A portion of the fee will help local programs promote physical activity in children. Each walker will receive a pedometer to track their steps. To register, or for more information call 966-5500.

Safe Sitter (UNC Wellness Center, Chapel Hill, from July 10, 2008 05:00 AM to August 21, 2008 11:30 AM)
This babysitting preparation program is designed for boys and girls ages 11 to 13. The program teaches sitters what to do in a medical emergency as well as how to handle specific ages, preventing problem behavior, and the business of babysitting. Classes are from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., July 10 to Aug. 21. Fee is $45 for Wellness Center members and $55 for non-members. To register, call 966-5500.

Youth in Action: Summer Day Camp (UNC Wellness Center, 100 Sprunt St., Chapel Hill, from July 21, 2008 09:00 AM to July 25, 2008 12:00 PM)
This multi-dimensional camp offers children ages 7 to 10 years old an opportunity to learn about health, physical fitness, and nutrition. Camp will be held from 1 to 4 p.m., July 21-25.
