What is UNC Health Alliance?
We are a physician-led Clinically Integrated Network (CIN) that is part of UNC Health Care. We are independent community physicians, as well as physicians employed by UNC Health Care and of its owned and managed hospitals, working together to build a high-value integrated system of care. UNC Health Alliance, as a Clinically Integrated Network, allows independent physicians to collaborate with UNC Health Care and jointly contract with payers to further the network’s goals of improved outcomes and patient experience, healthier communities, and lower costs. UNC Health Alliance supports the success of physicians in value-based care by:
- Creating a physician-led organization that is accountable for the full continuum of care
- Leading the market in high quality, cost efficient care through population health management and engaging patients in the ownership of their care
- Creating a culture of collaboration between UNC Health Care and community physicians while creating value for patients and our communities
- Addressing the needs of payers and employers to stabilize premiums and decrease costs while improving quality and efficiency
UNC Health Alliance is committed to creating competitive offerings in the healthcare marketplace to better serve patients and the North Carolina community while raising quality and efficiency of care in all practices touching patients in our communities.
