On Tuesday, November 16, 2010, all of UNC Hospitals celebrated upon learning that we achieved ANCC Magnet Designation ® - a national designation for nursing excellence awarded to very few hospitals by the American Nursing Credentialing Center. Since 1993, ANCC has established the standards of practice that have proven to deliver positive outcomes for nurse work environments and patient care.
