Welcome to the University of North Carolina Hospitals: UNC Carolina Air Care
UNC Carolina Air Care is proud to provide Critical Care Medical
Transport for the citizens of North Carolina. To fulfill this
mission we operate 2 helicopters 24 hours a day 7 days a week from 2
locations within the state. UNC Carolina Air Care also provides ground
transport services. Our bases of air operation are located
at Chatham Hospital in Siler City and Cape Fear Valley Medical
Center in Fayetteville. Our ground services are conducted from a
location near RDU International Airport. Our crews are able to treat
and transport patients in need of a higher level of specialized
care.
To serve the special needs or our Pediatric and Neonatal
residents, UNC Carolina Air Care provides a dedicated pediatric /
neonatal medical transport team. This team operates from the
main base at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.
