Welcome to the home page for the University of North
Carolina Hospitals Children's Services.
North Carolina Children's Hospital is
recognized among the nation's best in providing comprehensive,
family-centered medical care to infants and children. As a
regional referral hospital for pediatric patients, N.C. Children's
Hospital annually admits some 3,500 patients with a wide range of
medical problems and illnesses. The diversity of patients demands
much from our pediatric nurses, but this diversity offers abundant
opportunities to learn and grow professionally. Committees that
address professional and operational issues encourage participation in
the decision-making process.
The North Carolina Children’s Hospital
is designed to provide state-of-the-art inpatient and outpatient care
for children and families. The facility was designed to foster
family centered care with all private rooms, dedicated parent lounges,
family education and resource rooms, and other support spaces for
families.
