University Pediatrics at Chapel Hill North
University Internal Medicine Dr. Susan Berendzen is originially from Albuquerque, New Mexico. Before moving to North Carolina, she was practicing primary care at the Albuquerque Veteran’s Administration. She completed her medical school and internal medicine residency at the University of New Mexico. She is board certified in internal medicine. Her interests include primary care, women’s health, dermatology, and education. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband and two year old daughter. Dr. Aaron Miller is a board certified internist with University Internal Medicine at Chapel Hill North. He received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania and completed his residency at UNC-Chapel Hill. His interests are in general medicine, of hypertension and diabetes. Dr. Sezmin Noorani is from Atlanta, Georgia. She graduated from Davidson College in 1997. She attended medical school at the Medical College of Georgia. Before moving to North Carolina, she completed her Internal Medicine residency at Boston University Medical Center. Her interests include health disparities, preventive medicine and resident education. Dr. Kathleen Clarke-Pearson is a former elementary school teacher who, after attending the University of North Carolina School of Medicine and performing her pediatrics residency at Duke University, channeled her interest in children by practicing general pediatrics. Dr. Clarke-Pearson provides general pediatric services covering a wide range of preventive, acute and chronic health issues. She has a particular interest in working with children who have learning differences, behavioral/emotional issues, and possible ADHD (attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder). She works closely with her patients' families, helping them learn how to be the best advocates for their children should they need educational testing, extra learning resources, or a 504 or I.E.P. (individualized educational plan). She has a longstanding interest in the negative effects of media on children and teens (aggressive behavior, obesity, early risky behaviors, etc). Dr. Robert Goldbach is committed to providing quality pediatric care to his patients with an emphasis on personal care and convenience. Before coming to UNC, Dr. Goldbach worked four years in private practice in North Carolina. He received his undergraduate degree from Saint Vincent College and medical degree from Hahnemann University in Pennsylvania. He completed his pediatric residency at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in Texas. Dr. Goldbach worked in the Pediatric Department at Fort Campbell's Blanchfield Army Community Hospital in Kentucky. He also spent seven months with the 101st Airborne Division during Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm. He is board certified in Pediatrics. Dr. Lynne Morgan believes in providing one-on-one attention to her patient's needs. She comes to Chapel Hill North as a native North Carolinian with more than 20 years experience in pediatrics as a clinical nurse specialist and private practice physician in San Francisco. She received her undergraduate degree in nursing at UNC, her masters in nursing at the University of Virginia and medical degree at Case Western Reserve Medical School. She completed her pediatric residency at the University of California at San Francisco where she served as chief resident. Dr. Morgan is board certified in pediatrics. |
