Telephone Advice and Prescription Refills
Please make every attempt to update your prescriptions when you see us for an office visit and please do not wait until you are on your last pill before requesting a refill. Some refill requests will require you to schedule an appointment with your provider. If this is the case, the nurse will let you know. In the event you need a prescription refill, please contact your pharmacist and provide them with the necessary information to refill your prescription. The contact information should be listed on the outside of your prescription bottle. If you are not able to reach your pharmacist, please call our office's nurse line and leave a message with your full name, date of birth, prescription that you are taking and a telephone number where we can reach you. Our nurses and providers will make sure that you refill request is handled as timely as possible.
For general advice over the telephone, you may speak with one of our nurses. Please note that the best medical advice is given when there is a face-to-face conversation and physical assessment between the patient and the provider. Please also note that our nurses and providers are busy taking care of patients in the office and will not be available immediately by telephone. You may leave a message on the nurse line with a brief description of your problem along with your full name, date of birth, and a telephone number we can reach you. Urgent medical issues will be given high priority with a call returned to you within the same business day. Routine medical questions will be returned within 24 hours.
