Our People

Dr. Michael Buebel received a Bachelor of Science, Magna Cum Laude, from Clemson University in electrical engineering in 1992.  He completed medical school at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC.  Dr. Buebel completed a residency in family medicine at Forbes Family Practice, in Monroeville, PA.  He then chose to do an extra year of training in obstetrics and gynecology at Santa Clara Valley Hospital in San Jose, CA.  For the next five years he was a teaching physician in Pittsburgh, PA at The Western Pennsylvania Hospital.   

Dr. Jim Davis was born in Greensboro, NC and received his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He attended medical school at the Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem and is board certified in family medicine. Medical interests include geriatrics and preventative medicine.

Dr.  David Gibson received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia and is board certified in family medicine.  He has special interests in improving the quality and efficiency of health care and sports medicine.

Dr. Donna Whitt

Donna Smith, RN, FNP grew up in El Paso, Texas and received her Bachelor of Science in nursing from The University of Texas at El Paso.  She worked as a registered nurse in obstetrics for 12 years before receiving a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  She has practiced as a Family Nurse Practitioner for over 4 years, with special interest in the care of women, infants and children, but enjoys all aspects of primary care.

Wanda Thomas, RN, FNP is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Master of Science in nursing.  She is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurse’s Credentialing Center and has been employed in family medicine for 7 years. Prior to that time, she worked as a registered nurse for 16 years in a variety of settings: school nursing, critical/intensive care and medical surgical nursing.  Interests include women's health, pediatrics and management of chronic illness.
