Our Practice

UNC Durham Family Practice is excited to offer a full range of Family Practice services to patients in and around Durham. We are committed to providing quality care to patients and families of all ages, backgrounds, and configurations. We care for newborn and pediatric patients, provide women's health and adult to geriatric medical care.

Dr. Mohan Chilukuri and Dr. Mignon Benjamin are certified by the American Board of Family Practice. and have been working together in the area for many years. They are also part of the faculty at the UNC School of Medicine’s Department of Family Medicine.

Dr. Nicole Price Swiner is also certified by the American Board of Family Practice, is a graduate of the University of North Carolina, a member of the faculty at UNC, and joined us in August of 2007.

Eugene Farrug, FNP, is a Family Nurse Practitioner, a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and has been with UNC for two years.

We have carefully chosen our staff to provide an environment allowing open communication, understanding, and confidentiality for our patients. We consider ourselves your health advocates. We will always place your best interests first.

We provide a full range of outpatient services, excluding obstetrics. We perform many procedures in our office, including repair of lacerations, skin biopsies, wart, cyst, and mole removal, electrocardiograms, hearing screenings, joint injections, and many other services.

Inpatient services are provided by the UNC Department of Family Medicine in-hospital team at the University of North Carolina Hospitals or coordinated with specialists at Durham Regional Hospital or other local hospitals. We maintain communication with the team throughout the hospital stay to maintain continuity and follow-up planning.

Our emphasis as family physicians is on preventative medicine (keeping you healthy) and on patient education. We want to partner with you in your healthcare and provide you with the information necessary for you to make informed decisions in both sickness and health.
