Dr. Thomas Marsland attended the Medical College of Virginia and completed his residency training in Family Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  There he served as Chief Resident with Dr. Johnson, graduating in 2002.  He is a Board Certified Family Physician and a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Family Medicine at UNC-CH.  Dr. Marsland has a special interest in prenatal, obstetrics, and newborn care; and he practices full spectrum family medicine.  He and his wife have one son, and he enjoys the outdoors and sailing.

Dr. Lauren Lingley attended medical school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she also did her residency in Family Medicine.  Dr. Lingley is a Board Certified Family Physician and a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at UNC-CH.  Dr. Lingley has a special interest in women's health, including prenatal and obstetrical care, and in caring for the elderly.  Prior to entering medical training, Dr. Lingley worked as a high school teacher and a genetic counselor.  She is married and has two children.  She enjoys reading, cooking, gardening and hiking.

Dr. Sally Johnson attended medical school at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, MI.  She completed her residency training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she was Chief Resident with Dr. Marsland.  She has been a Board Certified Family Physician since 2002.  Dr. Johnson enjoys the broad spectrum of Family Practice, caring for patients of all ages and backgrounds.  She has an interest in women's heath, prenatal care and pediatrics; as well as minor procedures such as IUD placement and skin procedures.  Additionally, Dr. Johnson works as a Clinical Instructor in the UNC Department of Family Medicine.  She is married and has one daughter.  She enjoys reading, fishing, auto-crossing and gardening.

Dr. Libre Johnson attended medical school at the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and completed his residency training at the Stanislaus County Family Practice Residency program in Modesto, California.  Dr. Johnson has been a Board Certified Family Physician since 2003 and is a Clinical Instructor in the UNC Department of Family Medicine.  Dr. Johnson enjoys providing full spectrum Family Medicine care.  He is married and has two children.  He enjoys time spent with his family and doing projects around the house.

Tracey Rentner, RN-C, FNP, attended Baylor University wehre she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.  She worked at the Ft. Worth Public Health Department for over four years before returning to school.  She completed her Master of Science in Nursing at East Tennessee State University and is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner.  Tracy worked in Greeneville, TN, for five and a half years, and then spent 4 months in rural Honduras providing health care to many small villages.  She joined the Highgate Family team in October of 2005.  She loves reading, dancing, exercising, hiking and music.
