Children who are sick or injured can receive the most advanced, most comprehensive care at the new N.C. Children's Hospital in Chapel Hill. The hospital's medical staff includes UNC faculty physicians, many of whom have developed or refined the very treatments they provide to North Carolina's sick children. Often, children will be seen first in the Children's Outpatient Center, which is in the same building as the inpatient units for children. The hospital has 136 patient beds. Many patients are referred to UNC by physicians in other parts of the state. |
