The Children's Hospital includes a 16-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, the Children's Intermediate Cardiac Center and a 48-bed Newborn Critical Care Center. A new wireless phone and pager system allows nurses throughout the hospital to respond more quickly to patients and to communicate more efficiently with physicians. When a patient pushes the "nurse call" button, the call can go directly to the nurse's pager in addition to a central nursing station. |
