Blood Clots

  • Do you have a history of blood clots in the lungs (pulmonary embolism, PE) or veins (deep vein thombosis, DVT)?
  • Are you currently taking the drug Lovenox® or Fragmin® for the treatment of blood clots?
  • Do you want to reduce your weekly number of needle sticks to ONE?

You may be eligible for a UNC research study using a once weekly indwelling subcutaneous cannula for the administration of Lovenox.

The study consists of six visits to UNC Hospitals and can be coordinated with other visits to the Hospital.  All materials and visits for the study are paid for by the sponsor.  You will also be compensated for travel and parking.

Pregnancy and persons under 18 years old are not eligible.  Participants must have been on the drug for a minimum of 4 weeks.
