Bacterial Vaginosis

Home Screening for Bacterial Vaginosis to Prevent STDs (The BRAVO study)

We are conducting a nationwide research study with an approved medication to see if more frequent testing and treatment for Bacterial Vaginosis, a vaginal infection that is common, but not considered an STD, will help to reduce the chances of women getting gonorrhea and chlamydia.

After the initial visit, swabs are collected at home and mailed, postage paid, every 2 months for a year. No other visits are required.

To qualify you must be a woman, ages 18-25, have no vaginal symptoms at time of the first visit and meet other criteria.

Qualified participants may receive:

Study medication as indicated; and testing for bacterial vaginosis, gonorrhea & chlamydia.

You may also be compensated for your time.
