Are you 18 to 75 years old? Are you a current or ex-smoker with at least 10 years of smoking history? Do you cough up mucus on a regular basis?
If so we would like to talk with you. We are looking for volunteers to participate in a study evaluating the properties of mucus and the effect of mucus dehydration on clearing your lungs.
If you qualify you will receive free study related physical exams, lung function testing, allergy testing, and an EKG.
This study could last up to 30 days and involves a screening visit and 3 outpatient visits to UNC Hospitals. You will receive reimbursement for mileage, free parking, and total available compensation of $650.00.
