Office Procedure and Appointment Expectations

Appointment Times:

  • Limited times are allotted for each appointment.  As a result, we are able to address 1-2 concerns per office visit.  Please note that "physicals" are appointments that are devoted to addressing preventive health issues only. Additional concerns at a physical appointment will need to be addressed at a separate visit.

Arrival expectations

  • We ask that you come to our office at least 10 minutes before your appointment to allow time for registration and have the nurse check you in (take your vital signs and update your medication list).  If you are more than ten (10) minutes late we will ask you to reschedule to the next available appointment time/date . If you know you are running late, please call our office as soon as possible so that we can try to move your appointment to a later time that same day.  The purpose of this expectation is so that we are timely with others' appointments as much as possible.

Urgent Appointments:

  • We strongly believe that preventive and follow up care is maintained by the patient’s regular provider. For urgent appointments the practice will work with the patient to ensure that the regular provider is attending to their needs. However, there may be times that other provider’s within the practice will attend to urgent care needs.

Our no show policy:

  • If you need to cancel your appointment, please call us at (919) 732-2909 at least 24 hours before your appointment, if possible.
  • Repeated "no shows' may be discharged from our practice.
  • When patients do not show up for their appointment without calling ahead of time it does take away from other patients being able to be seen as soon.

 Missed appointments:

  • It is very important to please call our office as soon as possible if you know you will not be able to show up for your scheduled appointment.

Parents attending to children policy:

  • Children must be accompanied with their parents or guardian at all times in our clinic.
  • Please help us keep the children safe and away from any potential harm while in our clinic.
