UNC Health Care offers an online health library which features:

  • Physician-reviewed information written for a lay audience about different diseases and conditions, recognizing symptoms, and explanations of medical procedures
  • Adult and pediatric health information
  • Health news
  • Multimedia section with podcasts, videos and digital animations
  • Interactive tools such as quizzes and calculators to personalize health issues such as body mass index (BMI) or calorie burn rates
  • Ability to print handouts from the library in English or Spanish
  • Healthy recipes

 

Ask A Health Sciences Librarian

Medical librarians at the UNC-Chapel Hill Health Sciences Library will search books, articles, and Web sites to find information to answer your questions and send it to you by email or U.S Mail. There is no charge for this personalized information service. The Library also sponsors NC Health Info, a digital library for the public available in Spanish and English.
