Cost and Insurance
The cost of an executive wellness examination for first time
patients is based on services received and level of coverage provided
by your insurance company. Each experience is personalized to meet your
needs so cost varies with each patient. For more detail pricing contact
The Carolina Clinic at (919) 962-2862. Return patients generally pay
less depending on the services provided. Additional optional services
are available but are not included in the cost of the standard program.
A premier executive access and amenities fee is required the day of the
visit even if filing insurance as this covers costs not billable to
insurance.
If you would like our assistance in
helping you locate your own personal physician within the UNC system,
we offer that service at no additional charge. Follow up office
visits at The Carolina Clinic associated with the day of
your executive examination are billed to
insurance.
Any referrals in the UNC Health Care System for specialty consultation
or specialized testing to assess conditions that go beyond the standard
executive health assessment will be billed to your insurance company.

Does The Carolina Clinic Executive
Wellness Program take insurance? Yes.
We do file insurance and operate as an “out-of-network” provider with
most carriers. We also accept Medicare. There are portions of the
program that are not billable to insurance and therefore billed
directly to the patient; this amount includes but is not limited to the
up front premier executive access and amenities fee. Any portion of the
assessment that is not covered by your insurance carrier becomes the
responsibility of the patient. We will consolidate your bill for you
after completing the insurance process and mail that to you four to six
weeks after your visit.
Billing by specialists seen outside of the executive center will be
filed separately through your insurance carrier in which case you may
receive bills from UNC Hospitals and UNC Physicians and Associates.
