Age specific tests and examinations:

For women, if requested and indicated, a gynecological exam and Pap smear

For ages 40-49,

  • Screening mammography for women

For ages 50 and above, in addition to the above tests:

  • DEXA bone density test in women and men at risk for osteoporosis
  • Prostate specific antigen (PSA) in most men to screen for prostate cancer

Additional tests and consultations, if necessary, are scheduled at the mutual convenience of you and the appropriate Carolina Clinic physician.
