The UNC Health Care Multicultural Fair is a yearly event designed to celebrate the diversity within our organization and the community we serve. The purpose of the fair is to promote awareness and provide education about the various cultures represented by our staff, patients and surrounding community. We hope the awareness and education will promote tolerance for differences.

Back By Popular Demand! - The Bouncing Bulldogs Jump Rope Team will provide their ever popular jump rope demonstration at this year's Fair. The diverse team members have performed all over the U.S. and places outside of the U.S., including Australia, China, England, India and Sweden.

In the past, there has been a variety of entertainment including:

  • African dance
  • Salsa dance lessons
  • Chinese dancing
  • Flamenco dancing
  • Indian dancing
  • Korean Fan dancing
  • Latin music
  • Native American singers
  • Philippine-American dancing
  • Appalachian Clog dancing
  • Gospel music
  • Beach music

Employees create and display exhibits of cultures within the United States and from all around the world. There have also been cultural crafts for sale and food samples prepared from recipes submitted by UNC Health Care employees.

The day is filled with lots of laughter, celebration, education, fun and entertainment.
