Cancer Insurance
A Cancer Insurance plan is available to eligible UNC Health Care employees through the North Carolina Flexible Benefits Program (NC Flex). The plan is offered through Allstate Workplace Division (AWD). There are two coverage levels to choose from based on your needs. In addition to cancer coverage, benefits are paid for 29 other specified diseases. A complete listing of the covered diseases is located in the certificate of coverage available on www.ncflex.org.
The NC Flex Cancer Plan is available to all permanent employees who work 20 or more hours per week. Premiums are deducted on a pre-tax basis.
The effective date of this benefit is the 1st day of the month following the date of signature.
