Internal Application Process for current UNC Health Care Employees

1. It is to your advantage to complete a new electronic application so that your skills become a part of your application and are available to hiring managers. In the STAR system, hiring managers have the ability to perform searches for applications based on skill sets.

2. Since April 21, 2003 the Employment Office no longer uses paper application forms.

3. You may apply for up to four (4) job classes per application.

4. In order to have your skills associated with your application you will need to complete the skills section of the online application form.

5. If you do not have access to a computer in your work area, there are four computers in the UNC Health Care Employment Office at the Hedrick Building which are available for your use.

6. You must complete and submit an Authority for Release of Information form as well as your online job application. Download the *.pdf form here, print and complete manually, and submit it to the Employment office.

7. If you wish to apply go to www.unchealthcare.org/jobs. It's as simple as that!

To complete an electronic job application, go to www.unchealthcare.org/jobs. Your application will be automatically routed to all hiring managers who have a vacancy in the job class(es) for which you have applied. You may apply for up to 4 job classes per application. It will be important for you to fill out an electronic application so your skills become a part of your application and are available to hiring managers.
