Learning Management System

The Learning Management System (LMS) is available 24 hours/day, seven days a week. It can be used at home or the office for free. There are three main uses for LMS. They are Instructor-led Classes, Online Classes and Books 24x7.

Instructor-led Classes

Employees are able to search available classes and sign up online to participate in a class that is offered. 

Online Classes

There are UNC Health Care online courses that are available to our employees.  A few of these are assigned to all employees as part of a required curriculum.

Over 1000 business and computer online courses are also available for e-learning. These courses offer a wide variety of training topics such as:

  • Career development
  • Transitioning to management
  • Leadership and teamwork
  • Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and
  • Database management programs

Books 24x7

Another feature, Books 24x7, allows on-line access to an array of both business and IT book collections.

Other Resources

The LMS Administrator is available to provide:

  • Consultation to departmental LMS administrators on effective e-learning (online) course design and effective curriculum mapping
  • Best practices for LMS and strategies to maximize the functionality of the LMS.
