Q: Whom do I contact if I have a question after hours or on a weekend or holiday? How long does it typically take to get a return call?
A: We have staff on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays. You will be given detailed instructions and phone numbers when the technician delivers your supplies. You can expect a return call within 20 minutes.
Q: Are any of your staff certified in any particular specialties?
A: Yes! All of our nurses and pharmacists have extensive expierence in infusion therapy, but also include specialities or certifications in pediatrics, oncology, organ transplant, TPN, chemotharpy, pain management, cystic fibrosis and multiple sclerosis. We also have a registered dietitian and a respiratory care practitioners.
Q: How do you communicate with non English speaking patients?
A: We do have access to a telephone translation service. Additionally, we have some employees who speak Spanish to assist with our hispanic speaking patients.
Q: Who can I talk to about billing and insurance coverage?
A: Mid-Carolina has a highly expierenced reimbursement staff to answer any questions you may have about the cost of services. Our staff will verify your insurance coverage to determine if you may be responsible for any of the charges of services. If you do have any out of pocket expenses, we will work with you to develop a payment plan.
Q: Who can I talk to if I have questions regarding my statement?
A: Simply contact our office directly and they will ensure that you speak with the appropriate person regarding your bill.
Q: Do you offer home health nursing services?
A: We do not offer home health nursing, but we can do limited infusion nursing directly related to IV therapy. Our intake coordinators will handle this for you and ensure that you have the appropriate nurse to assist in all aspects of your therapy. Our services include home IV therapy, respiratory therapy, enterals and medical equipment.
A: We do deliver and pick up all equipment. You also have the option of picking up or returning your equipment at our office if this is more convienent for you. We can deliver to the home or the hospital bedside. Please see our service territory map to determine if you live within our coverage area.
