Dr. David J. Weber receives 2006 H. Fleming Fuller Award
CHAPEL HILL – Dr. David J. Weber, a physician at UNC Hospitals, is this year’s recipient of the H. Fleming Fuller Award. Dr. Weber is also a professor in the departments of medicine and pediatrics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine and a professor of epidemiology in the UNC School of Public Health.
People briefs: Dardess takes on new role in UNC School of Medicine
Dr. Margaret Dardess, UNC's associate provost for strategic partnerships, will take on additional responsibilities effective today (Nov. 1) as senior counselor to Dr. William L. Roper, dean of the UNC School of Medicine, chief executive officer of the UNC Health Care System and vice chancellor for medical affairs.

CHAPEL HILL – This weekend the North Carolina Jaycee Burn Center at UNC Hospitals will host the 19th annual Southern Region Burn Conference at the Washington Duke Inn in Durham. In addition, the doctors, nurses and staff of the 21-bed unit will celebrate its 25th anniversary Friday night in a banquet held at the Carolina Club at the George Watts Hill Alumni Center on the UNC-Chapel Hill campus.
