UNC cardiologist edits new book on hemodynamics

Dr. George A. Stouffer, director of the cardiac catheterization laboratories and director of interventional cardiology for UNC Health Care, is the editor of a new book that discusses accurate interpretation of hemodynamics (blood flow and pressures) and using this information to diagnose and treat cardiovascular disease.

UNC cardiologist edits new book on hemodynamics

Dr. George A. Stouffer, director of the cardiac catheterization laboratories and director of interventional cardiology for UNC Health Care, is the editor of a new book that discusses accurate interpretation of hemodynamics (blood flow and pressures) and using this information to diagnose and treat cardiovascular disease.

The book, “Cardiovascular Hemodynamics for the Clinician,” is published by Wiley and targeted to doctors and medical students. The publisher describes the book as “a dependable guide to the practical application of hemodynamics. This concise handbook will help both practicing and prospective clinicians better understand and interpret the hemodynamic data used to make specific diagnoses and monitor ongoing therapy.”
