Pharmacy Practice
The residency program began in 1967 with two residents each year in a combined 24-month MS Residency Program. Since that time, over 250 individuals have graduated from a residency at UNC Hospitals. These individuals are practicing pharmacy all over the world, in settings such as acute care, ambulatory care, academia, and administration. This year we will have pharmacy practice residents, administrative residents and specialty residents. Thus, our commitment to the development of future pharmacy leaders has been sustained and is significant.
Practicing pharmaceutical care is the major focus of the UNC Hospitals' Pharmacy Practice Residency. Our department takes this responsibility seriously, as reflected in our mission statement.
