Volunteer Association
The UNC Health Care's Volunteer Association is an organized part of the Hospital and exists to advance the objectives and interests of the patients and the Hospital through the Director of Volunteer Services by:
Mission
- Providing service in a volunteer capacity
- providing resources through approved fund-raising activities
- providing better community understanding of the Hospital's programs and goals
Vision
To be a vital energized organiztion committed to caring.
The UNC Volunteer Association sponsors fundraising events throughout the year. Vendors offer exciting, useful and fashionable merchandise to employees, visitors and patients. The Association's proceeds are used to fund scholarships and purchase items for hospital departments that are unable to be funded through normal budgets. Last year over $211,745 was donated.

The UNC Volunteer Association Finance Committee reviews grant requests from hospital departments quarterly.
Applications for the remainder of this fiscal year are due October 27, December 29, March 2, and May 4.
