UNC's Nobel Laureate Dr. Oliver Smithies and his wife, Dr. Nobuyo Maeda, distinguished professor of pathology and laboratory medicine, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, pose outside the Grand Hôtel in Stockholm, Sweden, where they are staying during Nobel Prize week.
