Super User Responsibilities

Responsibilities of a Super User or other Support role for Epic implementation and post go-live include, but are not limited to the following:

Epic@UNC Implementation - “Go-Live”

  • Complete Super User Boot Camp in SumTotal LMS
  • Attend Super User kickoff meeting
  • Attend Super User virtual meetings
  • Take classes twice for your role: Once during Super User training and a Second time acting in a classroom support role
  • Complete competency checklists with your department or clinic.
  • Assist in operational dress rehearsals (ODR) and readiness sessions
  • Partner with Epic@UNC staff to provide at-the-elbow support at Go-Live
  • Encourage end users to seek out Super User help prior to placing a MySupport@UNC ticket

Post Go-Live

  • Work with ISD Epic Training Team to communicate quarterly changes and initiatives
  • Touchpoint for communication about related changes, meetings, and initiatives via Intranet and News e-mails
  • Attend SAGE meetings via WebEx several times a year
  • Assist colleagues to identify and resolve or triage any issues
  • Support new employee orientation to Epic tools
