UNC Health’s Supplier Diversity Program creates and sustains partnerships with diverse suppliers, including historically underrepresented businesses. We believe in equitable and inclusive business practices that develop, create and sustain connections with diverse suppliers across North Carolina.

Our focus is small, minority-owned, woman-owned, LGBT-owned and veteran-owned businesses, which have been historically underrepresented.

Current Suppliers
If you are already a vendor with UNC Health, please keep all of your information updated in the
SupplierGATEWAY portal. Information that can be managed in the portal includes:
- Company details (contact information, Federal Tax ID or Social Security number)
- Diversity certifications (see Classification Guidelines)
- Sustainability certifications (if applicable)
- Vendor registration form
- W-9
New Supplier Interests
If you are interested in being a supplier or service provider with UNC Health, we encourage you to create an account in the SupplierGATEWAY portal. Information that can be managed in the portal includes:
- Company details (contact information, Federal Tax ID or Social Security number)
- Diversity certifications
- Sustainability certifications (if applicable)
- Vendor registration form
- W-9
This portal will allow us to keep your company’s information on file when we are conducting different supplier searches. We ask that you make sure to update the database annually. Filling out this portal does not guarantee we will be able to work with your company, but it does ensure that we have your information to consider in our database.
Minimum Qualifications
What We Look for in Tier One Suppliers
- At least 2 years in business
- Shared values, goals and culture that aligns with UNC Health
- Quality of services/materials and solid core business structure
- Focus on bringing value and innovation to our health care System
- Continued training and development
- Openness to continued growth and support
- Competitively rated
- UNC Health contract work is less than 25% of your company’s total annual revenue
