COVID-19 Vaccine Scheduling

COVID-19 vaccine supply is very limited, and vaccinations are by appointment only – no walk-ins. Please answer the questions below to confirm your eligibility and schedule your appointment.

If all appointments are booked, please check back periodically.

More are added as we get additional vaccine from the state. You may also visit the NC DHHS website for other options to get vaccinated.

Patients will NOT have any out-of-pocket costs for the COVID-19 vaccine. However, if you have insurance please bring your insurance card.

No photo ID is needed.

Important Appointment Information

Scheduling

  • Two vaccine doses several weeks apart are required.
  • There are several locations to choose to receive your first vaccine. Please pay special attention to where you schedule.
  • Your second dose of COVID-19 vaccine will be scheduled at the same location where you received your first shot. The vaccine clinic will help you schedule your second dose before you leave your first appointment.
  • If an earlier appointment becomes available, UNC Health may contact you to offer you that appointment.
  • If you did not receive your appointment for your 2nd dose, please call the location where you received your first dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
  • You will need to wait at least 15 minutes for observation after you receive your vaccine.

Rescheduling appointments

  • Online: If you logged into My UNC Chart at the time of scheduling your appointment, you can reschedule your appointment through My UNC Chart. Please go to www.myuncchart.org. Once you log in, please do not cancel your appointment. Click the reschedule button to reschedule electronically at the location where you are scheduled at and select the date/time that is convenient for you.
  • By phone: please call 984-215-5485 to reschedule your appointment.

Is there a choice in which brand of COVID-19 vaccine?

  • At this time, we are not able to accommodate requests for a specific brand of COVID-19 vaccine as our supply is determined by the state of North Carolina. We will provide what is available at the time of your appointment so that we can vaccinate as many people as possible.
  • Your second dose of COVID-19 vaccine will be the same brand as what you received in your first dose. For example, if you received the Pfizer vaccine for your initial shot, you will receive Pfizer for your second shot as well.
