The Rehabilitation Center is a 30-bed inpatient facility located on the 7th Floor of N. C. Memorial Hospital. Our mission is to improve, restore, and maintain functional abilities in patients with permanent and temporary disabilities; educate health care professionals in rehabilitative care and services; and advance rehabilitation research. Our dedication to rehabilitation begins with our highly credentialed and compassionate nurses, physicians, and therapists who specialize in rehabilitation.
Our exceptional staff is dedicated to interdisciplinary teamwork and communication, which is the foundation of our success. We focus on providing patient-centered, evidence-based care in a state-of-the art facility. We provide care, support, and resources through the rehabilitation continuum to help patients achieve their highest level of functional independence, health, and quality of life. We work with patients to establish goals for their rehabilitation and assist them in their integration back to the community.
The UNC Rehabilitation Center has been accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) International. This accreditation represents the highest level awarded in rehabilitation care and demonstrates the Rehabilitation Center's committment to providing quality rehabilitation services.
