Classes/Events

Whether it is a seminar on diabetes or a heart-healthy cooking class, UNC Health Care serves as a resource to the community for providing health information to empower people to live longer, healthier lives.

The best way to learn about upcoming events is to browse our online Events Calendar or in Well Magazine, our free health education newsletter. Well Magazine is a bi-monthly newsletter that provides insightful feature articles, tips for staying healthy and recipes that are good for the palate and the waistline.

Once you’ve armed yourself with the knowledge you need to make healthy changes in your life, step away from the computer and join one of the largest mallwalking programs in the nation. Heels in Motion is sponsored by UNC Health Care at The Streets at Southpoint in Durham and has more than 1,000 members. This program features regular speakers who talk about keeping fit and provides members a chance to exercise in a safe and comfortable environment.

For questions about our classes and events, please e-mail us at community@unch.unc.edu or call 966-0257.
