Howard E. Kashefsky, DPM Podiatric Director Wound Management Clinic Background: Dr. Kashefsky comes to UNC having completed his training at Catholic Medical Center of Brooklyn and Queens, NY where Kashefsky served as the chief surgical resident. Kashefsky previously graduated the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. Special Interests: Dr. Kashefsky has a special interest in all aspects of diabetic foot management and has a special interest in wound care and the correction of common deformities such as bunions, hammertoes and ingrown nails. His interests also include biomechanical evaluation and long term management with orthotics and appropriate shoe gear. Dr. Kashefsky has lectured on diabetic foot evaluation, trauma and common foot disorders. Clinic: Dr. Kashefsky has clinic hours at the UNC Wound Management Clinic on Monday and Thursday and is available for consultations.
