Q:  Which insurance plans are you contracted with?
A:  UNC Home Health participates with Medicare and Medicaid and accepts most major insurance companies.

Q:  What is the cost of home health services?
A:  The cost of home health services varies depending on your insurance coverage.  Our billing department will contact your insurance company and inform you of any charges associated with your home health.

Q:  What does “homebound” mean?
A:  Homebound means it is a considerable and taxing effort to leave home and that absences from the home are infrequent and of short duration.  Your insurance company may have additional restrictions regarding homebound status.

Q:  How to I get home health started?
A:  UNC Home Health must have orders from your doctor regarding your home health needs.  Please contact your physician to initiate home health services.

Q:  How can I obtain equipment (i.e. walkers, cane, etc.) in the home?

A:   The need for equipment may indicate a need for home health services.  Please call (919) 966-4915 or use our Contact Us Form (on the left).
