Hospital Police Department
At UNC Medical Center, our Hospital Police Department is dedicated to ensuring the safest environment for everyone who walks through the door. Officers provide 24 hour patrols, 7 days a week.
In addition to physical patrols, a computerized surveillance system of cameras and alarms aids the Department. All entrances and exits, as well as the perimeter of the Hospitals, are covered by closed circuit television equipment. In addition, specialized alarm systems are utilized to prevent, deter and intervene in unauthorized activity when appropriate.
